Installation Notes

Please read this before installing.

In order to install StarFisher, you need to have administrative rights or you need to ask an administrator to install it for you. Otherwise you may use the portable edition of StarFisher (coming soon).

Installation Options

There are few sets of preferences already predefined to fulfill the most common requirements.

Mainstream Astrology

• Placidus houses
• Planets, North Node, axis, Part of Fortune and Lilith selected by default
• Aspect orbs depend on "importance" of the aspect
• 14 aspects selected by default, 5 of them for transits
• Slow progression of axis in secondary directions (ASC moves approx 1.5 degree per year)

Humanistic Astrology

• Campanus houses
• * Planets, North Node, axis, VX, Part of Fortune and Spirit (using diurnal formula) selected by default
• Aspect orbs depend on "importance" of the aspect
• 19 aspects selected by default, 9 of them for transits
• Fast progression of axis in secondary directions (ASC moves approx 361.5 degrees per year)
• Wider orbs

Traditional Astrology

• Placidus houses
• Planets, North Node, axis and Part of Fortune selected by default
• Aspect orbs depend on "importance" of the planets
• 5 aspects selected by default, 5 of them for transits
• Slow progression of axis in secondary directions (ASC moves approx 1.5 degree per year)

Astrolog32 common settings

Settings mimic Astrolog32 v 2.0 settings as much as possible.

Bodies

You can select which objects will be defined. If unsure it is better to install less then more. Otherwise you can get lost in the long lists. You can install the additional objects any time later by loading the respective script from

C:\Program Files\StarFisher\scripts

• stars.sfs
• asteroids.sfs

And save settings afterwards

Glyphs

Either US or EU common glyphs. You can edit the glyphs later from the Settings.

Select texts you may need if using interpretations.
