Program Menus
Only items that are not self-explaining are described.
File
Open and run scripts, save settings, print, etc., (to open and create events, please use the Event menu).
Save Settings As Default | This makes permanent any new settings that have been invoked during the current session (Bodies, Aspects, Display, etc.). |
View
Show or hide toolbars and status bar, view the window in the full-screen mode, show the log window with error and status messages and switch among the various horoscope views.
Horoscope
Create, edit and manage horoscope(s) here.
For horoscopes using dual wheels, you can swap the wheels or select between mutual or inner aspects.
Swap Inner and Outer | Pressing the Spacebar swaps the inner and outer wheels. |
Use Mutual Aspects | Pressing the Tab key changes the aspect lines in the center of the wheel to reflect mutual aspects or the inner wheel aspects. |
Thus, you can view the graphical line aspects for either the primary or secondary chart, as well as the mutual aspects of both charts from the primary or secondary point of view.
Event
Create, open, edit, save and manage events here. If the program uses more then one event, the currently active event is managed. Secondary event editing is only available for active comparative events. As such, primary and secondary events are treated separately.
Discard Unused events | Events that are loaded but not used in any open horoscope are discarded from memory (the event file is not deleted). |
The Animation sub-menu allows you to increase or decrease an event's time in selected steps.
Backward Step | The chart wheel steps back in time comensurate with the preselected step size. Pressing the minus key (-) performs the same function. |
Forward Step | The chart wheel steps forward in time comensurate with the preselected step size. Pressing the plus key (+) performs the same function. |
Reset | The original time and date changed by animation steps is restored. Pressing the asterisk key (*) performs the same function. |
Step Size | Amount of time that is added or subtracted when a forward or backward step is invoked. The sub menu provides preselected values ranging from Second, Minute, Hour, Day, Week Month, and Year. |
Primary Backward Step | The primary (inner) wheel steps back in time comensurate with the preselected step size. Pressing the shift-- keys performs the same function. The outer wheel is changed using the minus key. |
Primary Forward Step | The primary (inner) wheel steps forward in time comensurate with the preselected step size. Pressing the shift++ keys performs the same function. The outer wheel is changed using the plus key. |
Primary Reset | The original time and date changed by animation steps is restored for the primary (inner) wheel. Pressing the shift+* keys performs the same function. The outer wheel is changed using the asterisk key. |
Please note that Primary Backward, Forward and Reset are only available for dual wheel charts. In dual wheel views, + and - keys animate the derived or outer wheel and shift++ or shift+- animate the primary or the inner wheel. Even if the wheels are swapped by pressing space, the rule stays the same.
Tools
Edit quick list | Edit the list of frequently used places using a tab between columns. |
Execute Command | Manually execute script commands. |
Settings | Allows the user to manage chart settings. |
Set Event place as Default | The place of the primary event is set to be the default place for newly created events. Please remember to use Save Settings As Default under the File menu to make this change permanent. |
Enable Automated Update Check | Clicking on this item turns this feature on or off. |
