Event Window

Use this dialog to create or edit an event, e.g. a birth. The event is used as the most important input for a horoscope.

Event / Name	Descriptive name of the event. For birth, the name of the person is normally used.
Date	Date and time when the event happened. If you leave the zone correction field to Auto, the time-zone and DST is auto-detected from the Time Zone of the place (see below). Otherwise, you can enter any correction to GMT. DST is interpreted in a simplified way as an addition of one hour (which is correct in most but not all cases).
Location / Name	Name of the place.
Location / Latitude and Longitude	Coordinates of the place.
Location / Time Zone	POSIX Name of the time-zone. In most cases it is correctly detected by the Atlas. If the desired place is not in the atlas, find the closest place and edit the data to maintain the zone info.
Add to Quicklist	Add the current place to the quicklist accessible via the drop-down list in Name field.
