Object Property Editor
Use this dialog to edit aspects, bodies and signs (Creation of new objects is not yet supported from the GUI, so please use the scripts to create new objects).
In the table below, there is always a link to a script variable or method for a body object. Unless otherwise specified, a script variable or method of aspect and sign object exists as well.
Common Properties
Internal Name | A unique identifier of the object used in the scripts and internal functions. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.New |
Caption | A descriptive name of the object. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Caption |
Abbreviation | An abbreviation used in text form instead of glyph. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Abbreviation |
Glyph | Graphical symbol of the object. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Glyph |
Custom Color | A color assigned to the object, used only if Custom color is set to Yes. Otherwise element-assigned color is used. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Color |
Element | The element of the object (if applicable) is set here. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Element |
Aspect-specific Properties
Angle, Orb, Maximal Orb, Solilunar ext. | Parameters defining the maximum acceptable orb of the aspect. Similar parameters for the aspected bodies may be used as well, depending on the settings. See Settings.SettingsName.Aspect for clarification. |
Body-specific Properties
Orb, Maximal Orb, Harmonic limit. | Parameters co-defining the maximum acceptable orb of an aspect of this body. See Settings.SettingsName.Aspect for explanation. |
Formula | A formula used to calculate the position of the body. For planets it is simply a name, for parts and fictitious bodies it may be a complex formula. See Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.Formula |
Max. Speed, Min. Speed, AverageSpeed | Speed extremes of the body. A proper setting is essential for the correct calculation of transits. See also Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.MaxSpeed, Settings.SettingsName.Body.BodyName.MinSpeed |
